Custom Aluminum Casting Housings

Cast and machined housings developed around your assembly, sealing and mounting requirements.

Custom Aluminum Casting Housings

Define the interfaces first

Housing design is driven by the features that connect it to the rest of the assembly. Specify bearing seats, sealing surfaces, mounting points, internal clearances and threaded features.

InterfaceKey requirements
AssemblyDatum scheme, mating parts and finished dimensions
SealingGasket or seal geometry and allowable leak rate
EnvironmentMedia, temperature, corrosion and appearance
ProductionQuantity, alloy, finish and inspection plan

Discuss the casting route together with machining and finishing. Evaluate squeeze casting where internal integrity is a priority.

Choose a route against the delivered housing

A housing quotation should cover the casting plus its finished interfaces. Compare die casting and squeeze casting where internal integrity is critical, then identify the machining, finishing and inspection steps. Discuss whether a housing family can share common features, but confirm tooling suitability for each variant.

Agree sample acceptance

Identify the mating components used for fit checks and the reports needed for dimensional approval. Specify whether leak, coating or assembly checks are included. An approved surface sample can establish appearance; it does not replace the dimensional or functional specification.
